11/24/01- I am late with the web site due to all the commotion of the pups going to their new homes. It was a bittersweet week, seeing all the babies leave and watching the smiling faces of their new owners. I cried every time they left until about number 8. Rob will miss them too but was getting tired of being Mr. Mom (although he did a great job). All the new owners know Grandma and Grandpa want updates and pictures! The first one to go was Mr. Red, now named "Parker." Parker traveled to Dunedin to live with his new parents Drew and Denise. All the while they were waiting for their new boy, they were considering getting him a playmate. When they found out that Ms. Purple was available, they couldn't help themselves and added Gracie to the family.
The next one to leave was Ms. Yellow, now named Kona. Our little petite girl is having fun in the sun down in Miami with her new mom and dad, John and Maria Elena. I hear she is having fun playing with the cats and taking walks on the beach (lucky girl)!
Next was Mr. Black, now "Bogey." He traveled to Mt. Dora to live with his new mom and dad, Lisa and Todd. He also has a Vizsla sister named Stella who he is becoming great buddies with. I hear he is playful and social and getting along great with the kids too.
Next was Mr. Blue, now
"Kona" (number 2). Kona means "Ton" in Hawaiian, which
is what Mr. Blue weighed! He is a big boy and as you can see, very
photogenic too.
Next to go was Mr. Green, now "Beaux." He also traveled down south to Ft. Lauderdale to live with his new mom Yvonne. He is sleeping in the bed already like a typical Vizsla, and is adjusting well to his new home.
Next was my darling little
Midget, now named "Jessie." Jessie's pink ribbon was changed to
Orange and Blue because her new parents, Tara and Tony, are huge UF fans (I
don't know why).
Mr. Orange, now "Kozmo," went to live in Louisiana with my brother Sean, who came into town for Thanksgiving. He always knew he wanted a "Riley" puppy and has looked forward to this day for a long time. Kozmo did rather well on his 10 hour car trip back home and is settling in Baton Rouge. He will be a Tiger fan like his Dad, and grandparents! Go LSU!
Next it was Ms. White's turn, now "Cleo." Sweet Cleo went to live close by in Lakeland with her new mom and dad, Brian and Wendy. I will look forward to seeing her work in the field as she is very interested in birds too.
We have decided to keep Ms. Silver and her name will be "Hannah." She is cute as a button and will be a tough contender in the show ring next year along with her brother Kozmo.
Ms. Rainbow, now Piper, went to live with her new parents Angie and Fred in Columbus GA. She too will be ready for the ring next year. I have so many pictures of the bunchkins, I will be working on individual pages for everyone. I will be posting updates and pictures on those pages as I get them from their new families. I will also be adding a puppy tips section next week where I will have answers to questions some have asked and tips for raising your new puppy. Check for it next week on the home page. To all my families: Take care of the little guys and gals and keep in touch! Have fun with your new little Vizsla. I know you will fall in love with this breed as we have. It was very hard work but well worth it! We are glad we were able to play a part in bringing you this wonderful little treasure. Call or E-mail anytime with any questions you may have. .............. Michelle and Rob (Proud Grandma and Grandpa)
