OUR WEBSITE HAS MOVED!! Please Visit www.rajkivizsla.net for current updates!

This site is dedicated to our family of animals, particularly the Vizsla breed.  After owning Vizsla's for 9 years we decided to breed our first litter creating the beginning of our line, and our Kennel name, "Rajki Vizslas."  (Check out the puppy section for pictures).

Rajki is my maiden name, pronounced (Ray-key),  however in it's native Hungarian tongue, the correct pronunciation is (Rye-key).  My fathers side emigrated from Austria-Hungary in the late 1800's.  I had always heard of the Vizsla but had never seen one until I was in college.  It was then we knew it was the dog for us.  After all, it is in the blood!

How did we find a Vizsla?  Back then Vizsla's were even more scarce so first we found a dog show in our area and made a bee line to the Vizsla ring.  We networked with the owners and got some names of breeders in nearby states.  Going to dog shows is the best way to find a quality dog in any breed.  You also get to talk to breeders and experience the dogs up close, in order to familiarize yourself with that particular breed.

After driving a what seems like a few thousand miles, all our hard work paid off.  Riley was truly a gem and a wonderful foundation for Rajki Vizslas.  With the addition of Phoebe to the family, we found the perfect match to start a solid, healthy, beautiful line of the Vizsla breed for generations to come.

I never recommend buying a dog from a pet store despite how tempting and cute they may look.  The sad truth of the matter is you would be contributing to the ugly world of puppy mills by keeping them in business.  You can read more about this at: www.nopuppymills.com, www.helppuppies.com/pmill.htmlOr  www.puppymills.com, and this one is not for the faint of heart- (warning: very graphic) http://www.hometown.aol.com/sixunleash/DoggieInTheWindow.html
